Our Services
Farmers Co-op Oil Company boasts a full roster of industry leading experts, courteous staff and advanced resources to deliver the products and services you need, when and where you need them. With 25 full-time employees, plus more than 10 seasonal and part-time hires, we are committed and available, year-round, to our customers.
Seed Sales
We offer a wide selection of industry-leading corn and bean genetics from Asgrow/Dekalb®, Credenz®, Croplan®, NK® and Stine® as well as carrying Albert Lea organic seed corn. Whether you’re planting 1,000 acres of row crops, a small patch of cover crops, or a field of alfalfa, we have what you need and can special order requests.
Crop Protection
Crop Protection is an increasingly complex component critical to successful farming. We work to assess each field’s needs; whether it’s herbicides, fungicides, insecticides or another product. We focus on providing a management program delivering season-long control. We carry major brand and private label chemical solution pre-emergence and post-emergence for soybeans, corn and small grains.
Crop Nutrition
We offer top quality Crop Nutrition and Micronutrient Feeding Programs working directly with farmers to determine which fertilizer solutions best suit their needs. Focusing on personalized recommendations that will provide the proper nutrients for optimal growth, we offer a selection of dry, liquid, and anhydrous ammonia fertilizers, as well as custom blends of crop nutrients.
Agronomy Recommendations
From providing soil testing services and tissue sampling; to scouting fields; to developing customized recommendations and tailored insights for your acreage; the Agronomy Sales Specialists and Certified Crop Advisers at Farmers Co-op Oil Co. provide a complete service experience to help you navigate the fast-paced world of modern agronomy.
Custom Applications
An in-season application of Crop Nutrient products or Crop Protection sprays can leverage the difference between a profitable year and a loss. Look to our Custom Applications Team to get the job done when traditional application methods aren’t feasible. We operate a fleet of custom applicators and sprayers that will get the job done quickly and correctly, even in the most challenging of acreage.
Energy and Bulk Fuel Delivery
We offer a complete line of Cenex® brand gasoline and diesel products, lubricants, DEF, antifreeze, kerosene and residential energy fuels. We will keep you in the field and on the road with top performing products. Our free propane tank rental program and bulk delivery options will fuel your operation to keep you up and running.
Vehicle Service and Repairs
When you need general auto repair, maintenance or light mechanic work on your vehicle, turn to our trained auto technicians. They are experienced and ready to get you back out on the road in a safe and timely manner. We proudly partner with Napa Auto Parts to ensure your vehicle is kept running in top condition.
Tire Sales
At Farmers Co-op Oil Co. you can expect quality tires and hometown service. Our dedicated staff will help you extend your tire life through proactive maintenance and repair. Whether you need a tire rotation or other tire sales and service, we are here for your car, truck and farm tire needs. New for 2022: our Mobile Tire Truck!
C-Store
When you’re on the go, our C-Store is here to serve you! We have a full assortment of the goods and supplies you’ve come to expect plus so much more! From locally sourced farm raised Pastures A Plenty meats, to Papa Primo’s Pizza, we’ve got dinner covered and treats galore. We even do custom cake orders for Abby’s Bakery!
Farmers Co-op Oil is a full-service, member owned Cooperative located in West Central Minnesota. It is a single location in Clara City, MN. We have five Board of Directors, elected from our members, on a three-year term to govern this Cooperative.
We have been in business since 1955 when the Cooperative started. We are dedicated to providing our customers with high quality products, competitive pricing, excellent service and knowledge to help our growers maximize their yields and profitability.
Our business includes a C-store, tire shop, Napa Auto Parts, energy (fuel, lube oil, propane) and agronomy (seed, crop nutrients and crop protection products).
This Cooperative has made a large investment in the last handful of years; building a new Napa store, 13,000-ton fertilizer plant, seed storage facility and now the construction of a chemical warehouse with a shop and offices at our new location Southwest of town. With all of our agronomy departments now located at one site, we will be more efficient for ourselves and for our Patrons.
With great support from our Patrons over the years, this company has been very successful which has resulted in a strong balance sheet and profitable earnings that have been returned to our member through patronage.
